Unfortunately, the vote to kick system in the game that is in place is a little bit obscure. It requires that players dig into the console commands for the game to get the job done. This guide will explain how to vote kick a player in Mordhau and how to set up a keybind to bring up the console options.
The first step in being able to vote kick a player in Mordhau is to set-up your keybinding to bring up the console. By default there is no setting for this out of the box.
Keybind for Console in Mordhau
To vote kick you will have to set a keybind to bring up the console. This can be done in the following folder: Steam\steamapps\common\Mordhau\Mordhau\Config. In the defaultinput.ini you can choose to bind the console key to whatever feels good for you. A popular button to have the console commands accessible under the ~ key, but you can set it to whatever you want.
How to Vote kick in Mordhau
Now that you can access the console, you will then need to type the following: votekick “playername”. There are some situations where a player might be using weird characters that make them harder to votekick. You can also votekick via the player with their sever ID. This number can be found next to their steamID64 and their steam name. You can also use votekick “server ID” to vote to kick a player in Mordhau as well.
A couple of things to keep in mind is that you have to type in the player’s exact name or the right Server ID number to execute the vote kick. Otherwise, it will not work.
