There might not be the amount of amiibo released as there once was a few years ago, but they are still steadily releasing them every few months. In addition to the various Super Smash Bros. Ultimate amiibo that are still releasing, Nintendo announced a brand new adorable amiibo for the upcoming The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening.
Nintendo really surprised us during their Nintendo Direct earlier this year that announced The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening as a remake of the original for Nintendo Switch. This Game Boy classic is one of the best in the series and people are really excited to see it return.
One of the first things people noticed about the game is the unique art style, which is very different from anything the series has ever done. This is on full display with the brand new amiibo announcement for the game that is seen in the image above.
The Link amiibo from The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening is set to release alongside the game itself on September 20th, which is pretty common with new Nintendo releases.
If previous The Legend of Zelda series amiibo are any indication, you will want to lock down a preorder for this one as soon as it goes up, as they tend to sell out pretty quickly.
