The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening remake for Nintendo Switch was first announced earlier this year, with Nintendo showing off even more during today’s E3 Nintendo Direct and the following Treehouse segment. In addition to all this new information about the game, a special edition of the game was announced as well known as The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening Limited Edition.

This announcement was made by Nintendo of Europe, which revealed this great looking collection. Not only do you get the game itself, but also a steelbook that looks like an original Game Boy, which The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening first debuted on back in the day. In addition, you also get a 120 page artbook as well. All of this then comes in a bigger box that looks fantastic, even though the final design could vary.

While this was announced for Europe, we have yet to get an announcement from Nintendo of America yet. While all the versions of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild were released in the US, the special edition The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D never was released here, so there is a precedent for this. Hopefully we will get this one though, as we all know it would sell out very quickly and make Nintendo a lot of money without question.

The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening will release for Nintendo Switch on September 20. Stay tuned for further details on if this edition ends up making it to the West and we will make sure to keep you posted if and when pre-orders go up for it.
